Process: First I used a slump mold to create the shape of the mug, then I attached a handle. I rolled out a separate slab then cut our the shapes of the suns and stars. I attached the suns and stars, then added the faces to the suns. I fired it, then glazed the suns with yellow under glaze and oatmeal, and the background with seaweed and oatmeal.

Reflection:

What I liked: I really liked the shape of the suns and their faces. I liked how the yellow under glaze showed up under the oatmeal glaze. The handle of the mug is also very comfortable to hold.

What I would do different: I would paint the background of the mug a different color. The inspiration picture I used made the seaweed glaze look more multi-colored, but my mug just looked green.
