Process: I used slump molds for both the plate and teacup. I added the handle on the teacup, then used under-glaze to paint a flower design. I glazed it with clear glaze.
What I liked: I like the flower design, and the natural color of the clay. I like how the cup is shaped, and how it fits on the plate.
What I would do different: I would smooth the plate and the teacup out before firing them because they both have a very rough texture. I would make the flowers a little bigger, and I also would want to make them look more like they were watercolor.

Process: First I used a slump mold to create the cylinder shape, then I carved out the leaf design in the cylinder. Then I fired it, and glazed it with mid-fire glazes.

Reflection:

What I liked: I loved the color that the mid-fire glazes created, it is a really nice blue/green. I liked the shape of the leaves, and the overall size of this piece.

What I would do different: If I made this again, I would make the leaves bigger, and maybe make some leaves hang down from teh top in between the empty spaces.
