I rolled out a slab then put it on the maple leaf mold. I tried to remove it but it was stuck, so I had to tear it off then waited for it to dry again on top of a newspaper. Then I took it off the mold, added the leafs veins, and glazed it red, yellow, and orange.
Critique:
What went well: The shape and veins turned out really good. I like the colors.
What I would do different: I would add newspaper first so the clay wouldn't stick to the mold. I might choose different colors.

First, I grabbed a ball of clay, then shaped it into a manta ray. Then I added the tail on, and carved out some of the stomach underneath so it wouldn't be to thick. Then I glazed it blue, and added swirl designs in a lighter color on top of it.
Critique:
What went well: I liked the color that it turned out, and the design of the swirls on its back. I also think the shape is pretty accurate to a manta ray.
What I would do different: I would make the tail stronger and be more careful with it because the end broke off. I would also make the design lighter and add some more colors.

I rolled out a slab. I traced the shape of the sun, then cut it out with a knife. I cut out holes for the eyes and pressed dips into the cheeks. I added a nose, lips, and a forehead. Then glazed it yellow and pink.
Critique:
What went well: I love the shape and look it had before it broke. The circle and rays of the sun look very good.
What I would do different: I would make it bigger and make the rays stronger, possibly by putting it on a plate or having a slab underneath.

I rolled out a ball then shaped it into a mouse, I added ears, feet, a nose, and carved out the eyes. I carved out the inside of the stomach, and added the backpack on top. I added a tail, packages to the backpack, and a buckle. Then I glazed everything.
Critique:
What went well: I love the way it turned out. The shape is really good, and looks like a mouse. The backpack and packages also look good.
What I would do different: I would try using some other colors for the packages, and maybe make the mouse more of a green/gray color.

First I formed the shoulders and added the neck and head. I cut out sockets for the eyes, and put the eyes in. I added a nose and mouth and added strips of clay on top to form the chin, cheekbones, and forehead. Finally I added ears, hair, and smoothed everything out.
Critique:
What went well: The shape of the face and ears turned out good. The proportions of the features are right.
What I would do different: I would make everything smoother. I would add more detail to the face and features.
